Farm to Table Event Company presents the 3rd Annual
Cream of the Crop Beer Festival
Festival Features 37 Craft Breweries and Over 100 Beers at City Roots
March 9, 2017 (COLUMBIA, S.C.) – Farm to Table Event Company is proud to present the 3rd Annual Cream of the Crop Beer Festival on March 25th at City Roots farm from 12-5pm. Now one of Farm to Table Event Company’s most anticipated events of the year, the festival was created to highlight the innovative craft brewers in our region, and has grown to include the best and brightest in craft beer and cider found across the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. The Cream of the Crop festival marks the finale of Soda City Suds Week, a citywide hyper-local celebration of craft beer.
Attendees will be able to taste over 100 craft beers from 37 breweries, including a World Beer Cup Gold Medal Winner from the esteemed brewery at Blackberry Farm in TN--their winning Classic Saison will be available along with their Fenceline Saison/Farmhouse Ale. Some of the breweries are brewing beer exclusively for this event, like Columbia's own River Rat Brewery. Others are using seasonal, local ingredients in their beers, like the Carrot Ginger Saison from Birds Fly South Ale Project. The festival also introduces cider this year from Bold Rock Cidery in VA, bringing their IPA, Citrus, and Premium Dry Ciders.
Live music is provided by the Mustache Brothers and Mountain Feist. An After Party is hosted by Craft and Draft on Devine Street.
Participating breweries represent the heart of the craft beer movement, with small-batch, handcrafted and locally-sourced brews coming from small operations across the Southeast region, including the following:
